The second annual Great Canadian Cheese Festival is going to be even more memorable than the inaugural event. Here’s how we plan to expand and improve Canada’s only national showcase of artisan, farmstead and specialty cheese:
Friday June 1 2012
• Cheese Tours: Visit artisan cheesemakers, a dairy farm, make other food and drink stops.
• Cooking with Cheese: Hands-on cooking classes conducted by professional chefs.
• Great County Dine Around: Enjoy cheese-themed dinners in fine restaurants.
Saturday June 2 2012
• Artisan Cheese & Fine Food Fair: Showcase for cheesemakers from coast-to-coast. Cheese lovers can learn, talk, taste and buy the best in Canadian cheese—and sample fine wine, craft beer and artisanal foods. Including Demonstrations, Dairy Farm and Food Court.
• Tutored Tastings: Cheese-tasting seminars conducted by experts to inform, entertain and ignite your passion for le fromage.
• Cooks & Curds Cheese Gala: A fabulous feast features tasting dishes prepared by eight Canadian chefs with eight Canadian cheeses and paired with Canadian wines and craft beers. The strolling dinner ends with sweet delights, ice wine and coffee.
