Top Chef Canada contestant François Gagnon, a seasoned chef who has worked in top restaurants in Quebec, France and Vancouver, currently is private chef for Ædifica, a prestigious architectural firm in Montreal, where the design culture stimulates his use of color, texture, technique and flavours to produce visually and conceptually inspiring meals daily.

Just before joining Ædifica in 2011, Chef Gagnon took part in the first season of Top Chef Canada on the Food Network, finishing in the top 5. In the future, he plans to partner in the opening of a trendy sandwich shop in downtown Montreal.

Following his graduation from Quebec’s distinguished Centre Intégré en Alimentation et Tourisme (CIAT) program in Culinary Arts, Chef trained under world-renowned chefs in France, including Roger Verger at the acclaimed Relais & Château property Le Moulin de Mougins and Joël Garault at Monte Carlo’s Hotel l’Hermitage. In Vancouver, Gagnon worked at Lumiere before joining Executive Chef Frank Pabst at CinCin’s celebrated sister restaurant Blue Water Cafe in 2003 as Executive Sous-Chef, becoming Executive Chef of Vancouver’s venerable CinCin Ristorante.
